guanxi2 update

Wed, May 21, 2008

Just a quick note about the upcoming Guanxi2 release. It’s been a bit hectic with the UK Federation/Athens split, so I’ve been channeling a lot of effort into that, which has in turn fed into IdP development. The IdP is more or less ready for release, while the SP is just behind. The main differences with Guanxi2 are:

  • Maven2 build
  • Spring architecture
  • Simplified Authenticator and Attributor interfaces
  • Quartz integration for metadata updates
  • Better SSL and X509 handling
  • Web interfaces to register IdPs and Guards without having to restart the SP or IdP
  • Customisable login pages at the IdP based on relying party providerId.
  • Declarative attribute mapping and release configuration, based on XML
Hopefully I can release the IdP and SP end of June but in the meantime you can download them from the source repository:

cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@guanxi.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/guanxi login cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@guanxi.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/guanxi co -P guanxi2

Go into the Core directory and do:

mvn clean install

then, to get IDEA project files:

mvn idea:idea -DjdkName=XXX

where XXX is the JDK configured in IDEA, e.g.

mvn idea:idea -DjdkName=1.5.0_06
